“Power over others is weakness disguised as strength.
True power is within and available to you now.”
– Eckhart Tolle
I still remember the days I suffered, the days I became a target of bullying back in my childhood. I experienced all the possible things considered in bullying at the time.
But those days suddenly came to an end. The victimizers apologized with dogeza, and they and I got back to normal. Everything went all right after that and we still keep our friendship. No grudge taken. Whenever I come back to my homeland Hokkaido, we have meals together and I sometimes stay overnight at their places.
But this is a very rare case. Not many people are as lucky as I was. I’ve seen some cases of cruel adult bullying (harassment) in an organization I worked for, and a couple of people ended up changing their life plans because of the victimizers.
Bullying happens even among adults and often times people choose to be “innocent” bystanders, which is a bit depressing fact to face for me. I’ve been feeling the strong need of standing against bullying of all generations. I wish to build the societies where nobody has to suffer from this cruel, immature and life-destroying human behaviors.

To those who bully others:
“All cruelty springs from weakness.” – Seneca
Be strong. Have a courage to face your weak mentality controlled by malice in your heart. You are about kill the soul of someone and now you are blind enough to think you have the right to do it.
You are not the center of the world. You have no right whatsoever to show nasty attitudes to someone “safe” to you just because your narrow mind doesn’t accept who they are and what they do.
Be strong. Don’t let your weakness take over yourself.
To Those Who Are Bullied:
I am sorry that you had to go through bitter experiences. I want you to know that this is not your fault. This is totally unfair and what they did to you is completely unacceptable. It’s natural that you feel confused.
I appreciate your inner strength. You’ve been strong until this moment despite of all the unfairness, pain and suffering.
Don’t let your inner beauty wither away. Your beauty is way stronger than their mental weakness easily controlled by malice. No matter what they do, they can’t mess it up because your inner beauty always wins ever their immaturity.
You are the captain of your beauty. The beauty awaits you to let it bloom each day. Let it happen. Let it keep blooming just like you have been doing until now.
No bullying lasts forever. In the end, your inner beauty will take a deep breath and smile at your brave heart.
“Promise me you’ll always remember:
You’re braver than you believe,
and stronger than you seem,
and smarter than you think.”
